In the rural community of Calichito, in the mountains of the municipality of San José de Comayagua, students at the local school participate in an educational program promoted by Honduras Rising that combines music education with cognitive and academic goals.
Through music, students develop skills such as concentration, discipline, and teamwork. At the same time, the program incorporates the learning of French, providing new educational and cultural opportunities for children and young people in the community.
This initiative demonstrates how arts education can become a powerful tool for growth and transformation.
