Since August, 12 students from our Music for all School have started social educational work. This activity is carried out within the framework of the music pedagogy class. The practice in the schools of the municipality allows them to put into use the knowledge learned.
Each week, in groups of two, tutors travel to schools to teach their choir class with a duration of 1 and a half hours.
After three months, the young tutors and their teachers have shown us the choirs organized in the 4 schools.
Social work activity has the following figures:
- 12 tutors doing their pedagogical practice in schools
- 4 primary schools benefited: La Laguna, La Misión, Jaitique and Nicolas Móntes
- 2 municipalities, Taulabé and San Jose de Comayagua
- 300 students in total participating in the choirs.
This activity will be organized every year in order to train our future teachers.
