Over the course of three weeks, the Honduras Rising Music School carried out an intensive pedagogical program in preparation for “Chantons la France”, a concert organized in partnership with the Alliance Française of San Pedro Sula .

Nearly 100 children and young people from the rural communities of Taulabé, Siguatepeque, and San José de Comayagua participated in choir rehearsals and music classes, culminating in a full rehearsal of the repertoire they will perform at the concert.

This preparation was enriched by the valuable volunteer work of Denissa Rivas, a member of Honduras Rising’s Academic Council, who traveled from Rochester, New York, to teach classes, mentor the teaching staff, and conduct the choir throughout the rehearsal process.

The collaboration between Honduras Rising, the Alliance Française de San Pedro Sula, and dedicated volunteers like Denissa makes it possible for children and youth from rural communities to access high-quality artistic and cultural experiences, strengthening both their musical education and their personal development.
